On the way over to Strasbourg all the students introduced themselves in excellent French and we got to know a bit more about everyone. It seems we have national netball players, accomplished musicians and multilingual Eurovision fans among us!

After a very smooth flight we arrived safely – and early – in Hahn. After a short walk to the coach we’re now heading towards Strasbourg. There’s snow everywhere so for those who are arriving in Germany for the first time it’s a picturesque introduction to Deutschland!

As we head towards Strasbourg, we’re going to be asking the students to introduce themselves in French, so we’re looking forward to finding out more about the group.

Everyone arrived on time at the airport and we’re now through in departures, ready to board our flight to Hahn in Germany. We’re all looking forward to arriving in Germany and then heading to Strasbourg We should arrive in Strasbourg around 4pm local time this afternoon, so we’ll try to keep you posted!

The big day has indeed arrived and in just three hours’ time we’ll be meeting at Edinburgh airport, ready to begin our journey to the “crossroads of Europe”, le carrefour de l’Europe. Students will already be on their way to Edinburgh from all corners of the country, and hopefully everyone will have a smooth journey, despite the freezing temperatures this morning. Throughout the visit we’ll be keeping parents, friends and teachers up to date with the activities by posting regularly on the blog, in French and English, so make sure you visit regularly!
